Our story

I grew up here in Central Florida, helping family haul furniture in and out of apartments around the city long before I was old enough to drive a box truck. I knew exactly how heavy a sofa gets on a third-floor walk-up in July years before I ran anything close to an office. When I started HomeTeam Moving in 2015, the goal was plain: a careful hometown crew that actually shows up, hands you one honest flat rate, and treats your moving day like it matters — from Orlando out to Winter Park, Lake Nona and Winter Garden.
Before I went out on my own I was loading trucks and running routes for a regional van line, so I saw the ugly side up close — people hit with charges nobody mentioned, furniture coming off the ramp already gouged, and crews who vanished the second the doors shut. Add in real Florida weather — brutal summer heat, the afternoon thunderstorms that roll in like clockwork, and a June-to-November hurricane season that cares nothing about your closing date — and I knew there was a better way to do this.
So HomeTeam Moving got built around everything those families did without: a flat rate put in writing before we start, our own W-2 crew on every job and never a subcontractor, climate-controlled storage to bridge the gap between legs of a move, and a real person who answers the phone and stands behind how it all shakes out. Most days that person is me or Yesenia.
I still map out the schedule by my own hand. The figure we quote is the figure you pay, and the crew you were promised is the one standing on your porch.
